যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের ফ্লোরিডায় এক বিশেষ অনুষ্ঠানে প্রকাশ্যে পারমাণবিক যুদ্ধের হুমকি দিয়েছেন পাকিস্তানের সেনাপ্রধান ফিল্ড মার্শাল আসিম মুনির। শনিবার (৯ আগস্ট) টাম্পায় আয়োজিত এক ডিনারে তিনি বলেন,
“আমরা পারমাণবিক শক্তিধর দেশ। যদি মনে করি আমরা শেষ হয়ে যাচ্ছি, তাহলে অর্ধেক দুনিয়াকে সঙ্গে নিয়ে যাব।”

তিনি হুঁশিয়ারি দেন, ভারতের তৈরি কোনো বাঁধ যদি পাকিস্তানের পানি প্রবাহে বাধা দেয়, তবে তা ক্ষেপণাস্ত্র দিয়ে ধ্বংস করে দেওয়া হবে। মুনিরের দাবি, সম্প্রতি পেহেলগামে সন্ত্রাসী হামলার পর ভারত একতরফাভাবে সিন্ধু পানি চুক্তি থেকে সরে গিয়ে পাকিস্তানের ২৫ কোটি মানুষকে অনাহারের ঝুঁকিতে ফেলেছে।
তিনি বলেন, “ভারতের বাঁধ তৈরি হলে আমরা সেখানে ১০টি ক্ষেপণাস্ত্র মেরে তা ধ্বংস করবো। সিন্ধু নদী ভারতের ব্যক্তিগত সম্পত্তি নয়।”
টাম্পার ডিনারটিতে প্রায় ১২০ জন পাকিস্তানি বংশোদ্ভূত অংশ নেন, যেখানে মোবাইল ফোন বা ডিজিটাল ডিভাইস নেওয়া নিষিদ্ধ ছিল। প্রতিবেদনে বলা হয়, অনুষ্ঠানে ইসরায়েলি প্রতিরক্ষা বাহিনীর এক প্রতিনিধিও উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
সাম্প্রতিক ভারত-পাকিস্তান সংঘর্ষ প্রসঙ্গে মুনির অভিযোগ করেন, ভারত ক্ষয়ক্ষতির বিস্তারিত গোপন করছে। তিনি সতর্ক করে বলেন, ভবিষ্যতে ভারত আক্রমণ চালালে পাকিস্তান আরও কঠোর জবাব দেবে—
“আমরা ভারতের পূর্বাঞ্চল থেকে শুরু করবো, এরপর পশ্চিমে অগ্রসর হবো।”
উল্লেখ্য, মুনির মে মাসে ভারতের সঙ্গে সংঘর্ষের পর ফিল্ড মার্শাল খেতাব পান। রাজনৈতিক মহলে গুঞ্জন রয়েছে, তিনি ভবিষ্যতে পাকিস্তানের প্রেসিডেন্ট পদে প্রার্থী হতে পারেন। রাজনীতিতে সেনাবাহিনীর ভূমিকার পক্ষে সওয়াল করে মুনির বলেন, “যুদ্ধ যেমন শুধু জেনারেলদের হাতে ছেড়ে দেওয়া উচিত নয়, তেমনি রাজনীতিও শুধু রাজনীতিবিদদের হাতে রাখা ঠিক নয়।”
🇵🇰 Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir warns: “If we die, we will take half the world with us.”
In a private event in Florida, USA, Pakistan’s Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, issued a direct nuclear threat. Speaking at a dinner in Tampa on August 9, he declared:
“We are a nuclear power. If we believe we are about to be destroyed, we will take half the world with us.”

Munir warned that any Indian dam obstructing Pakistan’s water flow would be destroyed with missiles. He claimed that after the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India unilaterally withdrew from the Indus Water Treaty, putting 250 million Pakistanis at risk of famine.
He added: “If India builds a dam, we will fire 10 missiles to destroy it. The Indus River is not India’s private property.”
The Tampa dinner was attended by around 120 Pakistani-Americans, with all mobile phones and digital devices strictly banned. Reports suggest an Israeli Defence Force representative was also present.
Regarding recent four-day skirmishes between India and Pakistan, Munir accused India of concealing the extent of its losses. He warned:
“If India attacks again, Pakistan’s response will be harsher — we will start from India’s eastern front and then advance westward.”
Munir was awarded the title of Field Marshal in May after clashes with India. Political circles speculate that he may run for President of Pakistan in the future. Supporting military involvement in politics, Munir stated: “Just as war should not be left solely to generals, politics should not be left solely to politicians.”
